1. What is Missouri State’s Public Affairs mission? Pick one of the three Public Affairs pillars and discuss how it will apply to your planned undergraduate education. Missouri State’s Public Affairs mission is a combination of three different pillars that establishes how Missouri State both approaches and teaches education for its students. The three pillars are ethical leadership, cultural competence and community engagement, but let’s just talk about the third pillar: community engagement. Time management is always something that I’ve had trouble with; I either save all of the tasks I have to get done until the very last minute, or I work on too many tasks at once, which pushes the time I take to complete everything back even farther. Even though I have gotten to where I am now with these less-than-average time management skills, these skills will not fly once I am out of college and flung into the working world. Whether I am working under an independent company or attempting to start my own business, nothing important will get done when needed, and I will just be creating more and more stress for myself.
