One of the first thing that comes to mind when speaking of Mayan Civilization is their religion. Mayan gods were represented as of the earth, rain, wind, lightening and other natural forces and phenomena. Especially strong influence had the gods of rain. They should have been favored by sacrifices so that they would not send flood and disasters.
