I think the vendors that used the lead paint, Mattel and the government regulators that are supposed to be checking for safety are all at fault. The vendors, the toy companies, the government regulators and the toy stores should all have their own testing done on products. If a product has to go through that many strict safety tests in order to go to market, there is a better chance that it will be safe and there will be less recalls. Then each group in the process will know that they have done their part in ensuring the safety of the toys.
I think all who are involved in the toy manufacturing process should make sure all products are thoroughly tested and safe for children. All who are involved in the sales of the toys should also have their own tests to make sure the toys are safe and they should be sure to buy from reputable companies. Parents also should do their part by researching products and the companies that manufacture and sell the toys to make sure there haven’t been any recalls and see what kind of track record the companies
