Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has changed the way I look at the world. He’s influenced me to carry his legacy into the future and past that.
In his time, Dr. King had made many achievements to aid the non-violent protest regarding racial discrimination and lack of rights towards African-Americans.
On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, a black woman, was arrested for not giving up her seat for a white man on a public bus. Later that day, many black men and women embarked on a 380-day bus boycott in Montgomery, Alabama. This boycott was led by none other than Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
