I view a leader as someone who is followed and respected by others, and is a role model that others follow. I imagine many people are eager to lead, or be followed, in a manner similar to how copying is a form of flattery. When I was young my parents always wanted me to become involved in as many activities as possible, yet I always led my parents into disappointment and looks of melancholy as I rejected the task of responsibility. It was something I lacked, and I subconsciously drilled this fact into me.
In my childhood I was always a follower, never taking up the responsibility of leadership. I remained nonchalant, simply doing as others do, and not taking the initiative by leading my friends. GREATEST TALENT OR SKILL
My greatest talent has been my ability to work on something nonstop, or marathon it. This has worked wonders for me in several instances. Over time it has allowed for me to excel at many things, especially when it comes to improving my skill. Whether it was cramming for a final exam or becoming one of the best players of my group of friends in a video game, marathoning has helped me become very proficient with several tasks.
Before I started developing this “talent” of marathoning in elementary school, I lacked focus and was easily distracted or distraught, and ended up doing little to none of my homework. It wasn’t until my first grade report that my dad realized this, and I was forced to stay after school with my 1st grade teacher, where I did all due began doing homework without stopping, My parents appreciated me becoming far more diligent and so I really began getting into a habit of this “marathoning”. To ceaselessly work on a project is a very daunting task for some people, however I believe my ability to marathon assignments would make me an exceptional multitasker and a very efficient
