Chris’ Story Kids all over the world have life-threatening conditions, like different types of cancer and heart diseases. There are so many conditions and diseases that could kill a kid. Those kids inspired Make a Wish foundation.
Chris Greicius was a seven year old boy who had a dream of becoming a police officer so he could “catch the bad guys”. But, at the age six he learned that he was not going to live long enough to pursue his dream. But, that did not stop Chris from becoming a little police officer. Chris was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of seven. Leukemia is a cancer of blood-forming tissues, which stops the body from being able to fight against infections (Started).

What Is Make A Wish Foundation’s Wish?
Their wish is to make kid's dreams come true. When people know they might die because of a disease or condition they send in a request along with their wish. Just like Chris, he had a wish to become a police officer and they made it come true. Chris isn’t the only person to have their wish come true, there are still many more in the world (Wish).
What Really Does Make-A-Wish Foundation Want To Do? They want to make kids dreams come true before they pass away from a life threatening condition or just if they have a life threatening condition. They do not want to have a kid with a life threatening condition, not have their wish come true if they pass away (Wish).
How Do They Believe They Can Make This Happen?
They believe they can make this goal of making wishes come true by raising money for all the wishes and then they put it all together and then distribute it to all the kids with life threatening conditions (Wish).
