Macbeth was seen as a tragic hero, as his tragic flaw causes his great downfall. His ambition and hunger for power act as the soldier’s tragic flaws, blinding him from his initial goal causing him to neglect his initial morals. As he was blinded, he changed his moral beliefs, which caused him to trust the witches and become so involved with murder that he felt it was impossible for him to back out. Throughout the narrative, Macbeth developed completely new, negative, moral beliefs which lead to his death. Macbeth’s morals were rewritten as he was fully aware of his actions, which override his good conscience. He completely understood that the evil doings would come back to haunt him; likewise, his religious beliefs changed as he initially believed
