INTRODUCTION
Lungs are respiratory organs that are located within the chest, one is the left side and the other one the right side. They help in removing the carbon dioxide and bring in oxygen into the blood.
Lung cancer is also known as bronchogenic carcinomas. Lung cancer has been rated as the number one killer worldwide. It is a deadliest disease because it spreads before being detected. It affects all genders. It is essential to understand some of the things that cause lung cancer.

SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER
This cancer is caused by smoking folks who don’t smoke cannot develop this type of cancer.
This type of cancer staged by;
a) Limited stage – this is when small cell lung cancer is limited or incarcerated in the area of origin which is the lung and lymph-nodes.
b) Extensive stage- the cancer at this stage has spread to other parts of the body.
NON- SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER
It has several stages depending on severity. The stages starts from Stage (I) - stage (IV). Stage (I) being less severe while stage (IV) the cancer has spread outside the lung to the other body parts, is malignant.
There are 3 common type of this type of cancer
a) Adenocarcinoma
This is the most common type of cancer, about 40% of lung cancers. It starts at the secretory cell; to be precise, it starts in mucus-secreting glands in the body and it can affects other parts of the body, but more often than not it affects pancreas, prostate, lung et al.
b) Squamous cell cancer
