What Is Lebron James Persuasive Essay

Improved Essays
The greatest debate for basketball lovers. Who is the best player of all time, LeBron James or Michael Jordan? I believe that the better player of the two is Lebron James and it shouldn’t even be up for debate. Michael Jordan may have brought many fans to basketball, but that doesn’t mean that he was a better player. They both were very good and were considered the best at the time they played, but I think that Lebron James is an overall better player. Some people may agree and some people may not, but I think Lebron was better in almost every aspect of the game, besides having more championships. Lebron James has scored many more points than MJ, has more assists, and has played way better than MJ. LeBron James had many more points than Michael …show more content…
It may not seem like that big of a difference, but considering the amount of shots they take, that is a big difference. Lebron had an average of three more three-pointers per game and also had a higher 3-point percentage. Jordan played 6 fewer seasons than Lebron, but 8,000 points is a lot of points. Lebron was better in a lot of stats. Lebron had many more assists than MJ. MJ averaged 5.3 assists per game. LeBron James averages 7.4 assists per game. He also gets more rebounds per game than MJ ever did. LeBron averages around 7.5 rebounds per game, while MJ averages 6.2 per game. I think overall, Lebron was better at being a team player than MJ. MJ had all the people on his team to do the work for him. Michael Jordan wasn’t even the best person on the team in some years. During the 1993-1994 season, a person on MJ’s team called Scottie Pippen led their team in scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals. Lebron isn’t a ball hog and is willing to help his team do what is best. Lebron also had to play a lot better than MJ ever …show more content…
Micheal Jordan played in 6 NBA Finals and won all of them, which is very impressive. According to fadeawayworld, Jordan only played against 10 Hall of Famers in all of his Finals appearances (fadeawayworld.net). During his championships, he had an all-star team and didn’t have that much competition. Some people criticize Lebron for his record in his championships, which is 4-6, but he has also played with 31 Hall of Famers in his NBA Finals appearances. Jordan played against an average of 1 or 2 Hall of Famers on each team in his Finals appearances, while Lebron has to go up against an average of about 3-4 per team. Lebron may have also had a decent team, but it was nothing like the team Jordan had when he was playing. Of course, there are a few reasons why some people may think Jordan is better. It may be just for some people that they grew up watching Jordan instead of growing up watching LeBron. There are some key stats that Jordan is better than Lebron though. Of course, the most notable one is his championships, but I backed that up in the last paragraph on why I think that shouldn’t determine why they think MJ is better. Jordan did have a few more points per game than LeBron

I'm not going to disagree that there is many things that people could argue about my points. But with all the arguments I still feel that Michael Jordan is the better player. One thing that people could point out is that Michael Jordan is a better scorer because Steph Curry hasn't been in the game as long as him. I get why someone would say this. But by just watching Michael Jordan play one game you can tell he has more natural talent and is able to score better than Steph Curry.…

Now to find who is the better player we first have to make a graph. Before graphing I decided only to count each player's first 14 seasons because Michael Jordan only played 14 seasons. After examining the graphs, we can tell that the two players have a lot of similarities.…
