I choose lactose intolerance for the discussion. Lactose intolerance is a condition that people have lower ability or inability to digest lactose. Lactose is a kind of carbohydrate mainly present in milk product. The enzyme which involved in the digestion of lactose is called lactase. Lactase is an enzyme that present in intestinal juice which is secreted by small intestine. Lactase can break down lactose into glucose for absorption.
The symptoms for lactose intolerance are abdominal pain, diarrhea and bloating. (Wikipedia, 2017) It starts one to two hours after the person drinks milk or eats milk product and the severity depends on the amount lactose intake.
