Different Parents Research Paper

What is it like for teenagers? We have different parents, who teach and treat us differently. For some of us we are allowed to live how we want, when we want. Others, well we have no choice in what we do with our life. So why are parents different like that? My goal with this paper is to tell everyone what I go through, what my friends go through and maybe even what one went through. All of us have different childhoods, which one is yours?
Authoritarian. That word just sends chills down my spine. A parent with this type of style can expect a lot for their child. Sometimes even too much. I can tell one from firsthand experience that it IS NOT fun having a parent with this style! My mother has so many rules and critiques that it honestly drives me insane. She is constantly trying to help me with homework and studying, but she wants it her way. That is why I do not get a lot of sleep, because I am up late every night trying to learn it her way when if I do it my way I could be finished in no time. But my mom is my mom. Yes my adoptive mom, but still my mom. She has had me since I was 3 days old. Children with this type of parent can be unfriendly. Do I think of myself as unfriendly? Yes I do. We get in trouble for a bad grade and we are punished. We are pushed to the point of “Why am I not good enough?” I lie in bed every night and wonder “What can I do to be better?” 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) says, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
