The Lottery
Have you ever won the lottery? Most people and I would say no we have never won the lottery before but we would like to. A lot of the people that I have talked believe in the lottery and there is a majority of the people that do not believe in it. People are really fascinated with others winning the big cash prize that the lottery gives out. The lottery shows us that in the old days that there traditions were very important to them. I thought it was very interesting that all of them people did not know why they were doing it. Nobody would say anything because they thought it was right and just a normal thing in their normal lives.

The village was ran by a guy name Mr. Summers and there was also a couple name Bill hutchchion and his wife Tess Hutchison. They were getting ready for the lottery and they had to turn there slips in. Bills wife did not like the lottery at all she hated it and was against it. They kept them in a black box and after the slip was in there no one could touch it. People did all kinds of thing they would pray to it and go see it. Mostly everyone was pretty superstitious and tried everything. I thought it was normal because people wanted to win the prize really badly. It was getting close to that day and when it finally came. Then they were drawing the names to see who won it was a guy name Bill Hutchison and that meant that his family also had to pick from the black box. The lottery applied to everyone even his kids so all of them had to draw again and they were all waiting to see who won. The whole family had to draw and the kids did not get the dot on the paper. It was down to Bill and Tess and Bill was aware what would happen if he got the black dot on his paper but his wife was not to really aware what
