What Is ISTJ-T Personality

Decent Essays
My research in MBTI resulted in ISTJ-T personality (“THE LOGISTICIAN”). This type is thought to be the most abundant, making up around 13% of the population. The moto is constant improvement.
This type defining characteristics of integrity, practical logic and tireless dedication to duty make ISTJs a vital core to many families, as well as organizations that uphold traditions, rules and standards, such as law offices, regulatory bodies and military. People with the ISTJ personality type enjoy taking responsibility for their actions, and take pride in the work they do – when working towards a goal, ISTJs hold back none of their time and energy completing each relevant task with accuracy and patience.

Because different jobs pose different demands, personality plays a critical role in determining the success that one may need for that position. “The dimensions of the MBTI are four in number: The EI (extroversion-introversion), the SN (sensation-intuition), the TF (thinking-feeling), and the JP (judging-perceiving),” (Carlson, 1989, pg. 484). The E refers to preference of obtaining information from others while the introversion (I) is obtaining information through reading and reflection. The SN scale relates to personal preference either for using sense-based data (sensing) or using self-generated information (intuition).…

Honestly, this personality analysis was so accurate that it was difficult for me to find parts of it that I disagreed with. Albeit there were endeavours I encountered while searching for a statement to disagree with, I finally found one that stuck out like a sore thumb; I could not believe that I did not find a disagreeable statement sooner. Being an INTP, according to the analysis, I tend to look over details and miss important information as a result. But, in fact I don’t overlook details at all, I try to cover as many details as possible and because of that, I tend to over analysis details and make simple assignments difficult tasks. I also try to pay attention to as much detail as possible because I am terrified of failure, and if I failed…

Through this personal learning paper I intend to shed light on my leanings through this course by means of classes and self study. There was a fundamental question raised in the first lecture of OB “Why a man behaves the way he does?” and taking this course helped me in getting closer to the probable answers. Understanding someone's behaviour is important because studying past behaviour patterns of humans in a given situation helps anticipate future behaviour in a similar situation. This becomes all the more important from an organizations perspective given the need to anticipate future and plan accordingly.…
