In America one in every six people suffer from hunger. Did you also know that one in seven people are enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)? Almost all the people that are enrolled in this are children. There is about forty percent of food is just thrown out in the United States every year. Which is about 165 billion dollars. With all the food that these people just threw away could have fed about twenty-five million other people or Americans. There are around 16 million people in america that are not getting the food that they need to stay alive or healthy. Most people in the world today that are hungry or have no money, have had some poor life decisions. These people could have had many things in their life that have not been good for them. People in the world today have many different life stories that we don't know about, so we don't want to judge them by the way they look, what clothes they wear, by the way they smell or where they live perhaps.
