Holocaust denial Is an attempt to negate the already established facts of the holocaust. Ultimately, along with holocaust distortion, it is a form of antisemitism. Generally, they are motivated by anti semitism and are generated by the thought that the whole catastrophe was created by the Jew to gain international sympathy and attention. Holocaust denial, distortion, and misuse all undermine the understanding of history. Holocaust denial, distortion, and misuse are strategies certain groups have come up with and used to make people care less about and give less sympathy to the Jews, to undermine the legitimacy of the State of Israel, to plant seeds of doubt towards the Jews and the Holocaust, and to draw more attention towards particular issues
