There have been many facts that ultimately decide if an event is historically significant. The amount of change, type of change , and why it changes are important factors in deciding if something is historically significant. I also think that historical significance can be different to every person, especail people in different countries. People in Africa are going to find very different things significant compared to someone in Canada because they have different cultures, beliefs, and ways of living. The government, teachers, parents, media, and other influential people in a person's daily life can also influence what we value as significant.
