My assertion that optimism creates the will to continue is made more believable with my fellow group member’s conclusion that optimism is focusing on the good things in life and making peace with the bad things. Upon reading this, I realized, that the way that optimism creates perseverance is through helping us savor the good times, and understand cope with the darker moments. What we take for a way of thinking can be so much more than an idea, rather, a way of life.
