Kids are deciding to take on a little more responsibility than usual, they are going to rule the world! So you may all know me as the former president, Harry S. Truman and I want to talk about a serious problem that I have noticed over the last years and my time as being the president. Kids aren't acting the same anymore, I have observed and as I did more research I figured out why. Not too long ago in the past 1950s, inventions have been made that have become very popular with younger children and teenagers. People Need to open there eyes and realize that kids have and are getting more power than they should. The many inventors have no idea what they are doing to our world and the big impact they have on children! If and when these …show more content…
They think they could have better laws and make the world a safer and more peaceful place. But many adults were quick to disagree because they said, “The kids aren’t mature enough and know nothing about politics, let alone running the world”. “The children would run us right into the ground at their age and should just enjoy being young and wait their turn”, say parents about this increasing situation. This could cause a lot of problems between parents and children, which could only make things worse by fueling our young ones and making them want to rebel even more, we have to get them on our side, not fight with them . But of course when parents ask their children about it, the kids always seem to question, “are you writing a book?” or just tell their parents to "ice it" and try to use apple butter to get out of it. The kids are just simply taking advantage of all these modern made toys and technology. The inventors originally just wanted some kids to be happy and have cool things to play with and experiment with even if the invention was made by mistake. As these 1950s advanced, so did the children's revolution and who knows what could happen in the 1960s or 1970s

The well-spoken Quintus Horatius Flaccus, more commonly known as Horace, once professed that hardship has the ability to provoke hidden skills that which other wise would have never shown themselves. This philosophy is especially true in comparison to the life of Elie Wiesel, a beautifully written Holocaust survivor. Wiesel writes to all who haven't lived through the horror that is known as the Holocaust, in efforts of “transmitting the history of the disappearance” of those who were brutally and unrightfully killed. With a tone of gloom and mourning, Wiesel argues that if it wasn't for the disastrous circumstances of the Holocaust, he would have never become the vivid writer that he is.…

Many children of today start their day off with going to school and learning, however children didn’t always start off their day like this. Many children during the 1900s usually started off their day by working in factories, mills, mines or farms until it was late at night even though they were tired to the bone. They usually faced a day like this because they needed to support their families income, but were usually underpaid. Business owners ignored laws that prohibited child labor by continuing to hire children to pay lower wage and work long hours. People took notice of this which caused the start of the National Child Labor Committee, who refused to compromise with the way businesses were treating children.…

Kennedy was the United States of America’s 35th president. Although he was only in office for almost 3 years, many still believe he was an effective president and got much done in that time. Kennedy accomplished many things in his two years, which lead to his great success as a president, such as making the Peace Corps, instilling fitness programs in certain schools, and challenging the nation to win the race to space.…

I think Adnan Syed deserves an appeal because in his trails there were inconsistent testimonies, cell phone call logs that had blurry information and the fact that Adnan did not have a violent or aggressive temperament.…

In our course of history, there have been many events that tend to be frowned upon by society. Multiple terrorist attacks across the globe, unethical wars, or even slavery has made humanity itself take a second look at their morals and ethics. In 1945, the year Truman was sworn into office, he was first notified about the nuclear weapons the United States had been constructing. “It was not until April 25, 1945, 13 days after the death of Franklin Roosevelt, that the new president, Harry S. Truman, was briefed about the Manhattan Project.” Before he took the oath to become president, as a result of the untimely death of President Franklin Roosevelt, he had no prior knowledge of the atomic bomb and was completely blindsided with the new information.…
