In war, one of the oldest motto is nemo resideo, which translates to no man left behind. Alhough she was not fighting a traditional war, Harriet Tubman kept this motto in mind on the war against slavery. Tubman's most importsant leadership quality was her dedication to her cause which not only brought her closer to her follower, but set her apart as a leader. Dedication was Harriet Tubman's most essential quality of leadership because people believed in her image and put their lives in her hands. The first example of this leadership quality is that Tubman dedicated most of her life to freeing slaves.
