Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter made a legacy for blacks. They both did something that made blacks have a chance to go to school with whites. Hamilton Holmes was born on July 8, 1941. His father was a businessman and his mother was a school teacher. Holmes was studious and athletic. Holmes was also valedictorian of his grade. Charlayne Hunter was born on February 27, 1942. Her father was an army chaplain and her mother took care of the kids. She was the oldest child. Charlayne and her family moved around constantly since her dad was in the military. Holmes got his high school education from Henry McNeal Turner high school. Later on, for college he was going to originally go to MoreHouse. Instead, he went to UGA. Charlayne
