Angela Lee Duckworth states that students with “grit” are more likely to graduate and accomplish goals that they have set out. Students with “grit” seem to be more willing to do whatever it takes to get what they strive for. Also, students that have “grit” will find it easier to get through their studies because they are actually motivated and interested with all of their focus centered on their goals.
However, college students who seem to lack the necessary “grit” and motivation are more likely to give up and dropout or at least that is according to Mrs. Duckworth’s “The Key to Success? Grit.”. Also, some students might think can get by with just natural talent for their studies or sports, but what they do not realize is that talent can only get you so far.
Furthermore, “grit” is what really sets the boundaries between a student almost accomplishing his/her goals or being good at something, and a student who actually achieves what they have set out for and being exceptional in what they do.
