George Handel was born in the same year and country as Johann Sebastian Bach. His father, Georg Händel 63 when he was born, was a famous barber-surgeon who served for the court of Saxe-Weissenfels (A state of the Holy Roman Empire) and Margraviate of Brandenburg (Another state of the Holy Roman Empire). Georg Händel was initially intended Handel for the study of Civic law, yet Händel discovered he has outstanding musical talent and enthusiastic on studying music. Therefore, his father strongly against on his intent to development in music, as his father doubting that music was a realistic source of income. Zachow appreciated his talent and invited him as his disciples. By then, he started to study music with Friedrich Wilhelm Zachow. Under the brilliant guidance of Zachow and his own outstanding musical talent, he grasped composing for the organ, the oboe and the violin by the time he was ten years old. From the age of 11 to 17 years old, Handel composed church cantatas and chamber music that were for a small audience, which failed to attract much attention and wasted quite a lot of his time.
