Now things have changed, evolution seems like it is going backwards. In 2015 Canada now is ranked 8th instead of first. Canada is even having a major gender wage gap problem. It is double the global gender wage gap. Women are getting 4000 dollars less globally but in Canada Women are getting 8000 dollars less then men on an average . 10- 15% of the gender wage gap in because of discrimination. Segregation does not end there with women. Although everyone is human and should be equal women of colour, aboriginal, disability and age do get discriminated against more than women that is not of any colour. It is very disappointing because more women than men ages’ 25- 34 have a bachelor, medical, and master’s degrees in Canada (2011). It is because over time the gender gap between men and women is closing and women have more opportunities than before. Young women are taking this chance by going to post secondary education.
