Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 in a poor family of actors. His father’s name is David Poe and his mother’s name is Elizabeth Arnold Poe. Poe also had a brother named William Henry Leonard and a sister named Rosalie who died because of pneumonia. Poe’s brother, William Henry Leonard, was left with his grandparents but Poe stayed with his parents who were very poor.
