An ordinary girl from Kansas feels underestimated by the adults in her family, therefore leading to an adventure that will teach her a lesson. When she and her dog Toto attempt to go back home, they encounter some fascinating acquaintances. She comes across the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz. She refuses to believe that she is in a magical place. Dorothy is clueless on how she will travel back home. The separation from home causes her to value her family a little more. The Wicked Witch of the North, Dorothy's mentor, arrives to inform Dorothy about Munchkin Land. Glinda also warns Dorothy about the Wicked Witch of the West. Dorothy is wearing ruby slippers that belong to the sister of the Wicked Witch of the West. Glinda advises Dorothy to "follow the yellow brick road" and to keep the vivid red slippers on. Dorothy takes Glinda's advice and follows the "yellow brick road". Along the "yellow brick road", she meets the Scarecrow, Tinman, and the Cowardly Lion. The Scarecrow is set on fire by the Wicked Witch of the West. The witch is angry that Dorothy did not use the power of the ruby slippers. Therefore, the Wicked Witch of the West makes Dorothy feel drowsy. Luckily, Dorothy defeats these challenges with the aid from her allies and mentor. The lion could of been another enemy if Toto was not barking at the lion. She would of not realized that the lion was only acting ungenerous and in need of courageousness. Later, another problem arises when they arrive reach Emerald City. The wizard declines Dorothy's wishes to go back home, unless they bring the witch's broom.
