In everyday life things are not going to go as planned and people are going to be difficult to work with or be around. In the book The Great Gatsby, five years ago Gatsby and Daisy lived near each other in Chicago and were dating for a month, Gatsby left for the war and Daisy could not wait for him to get back nor did she think she could be with someone who was as poor as Gatsby. Daisy grew up in a rich family and thought she had to marry someone rich as well. Soon after Gatsby left, Daisy married Tom Buchanan who had a lot of money. When Gatsby got back, he still wanted to carry on his relationship with Daisy and was still in love with her. When he found out Daisy moved to New York and got married, he moved across the bay from her and would throw huge parties to see if she would show up. This soon causes many problems in everyone’s lifestyles. In The Great Gatsby F. Scott Fitzgerald uses the characters to demonstrate love, hatred, and the importance of money.
There are many love encounters between the characters in this book. Gatsby and Daisy are one of the main relationships in the book. Gatsby invited Nick to his party and wanted him to set up a tea party with his cousin Daisy. At the tea party, Daisy and Gatsby reconnected, after Daisy would spend most of the afternoons with Gatsby. Nick and Daisy’s friend Jordan knew about her affair with Gatsby. One day

Gatsby and Nick live in West Egg, but yet their houses are completely different. Nick in a tiny house he calls it “an eyesore, but it was a small eyesore.” (5) Nick’s small house is next to Gatsby’s mansion. Gatsby lives the American dream, he has servants and thousands of clothes. Gatsby’s father Henry C. Gatz has a picture Gatsby sent him a couple years ago of his house and Henry is so proud of his son and he could tell Gatsby was happy with his house.
