Critical thinking applies to nearly every aspect of my patient care and patient assessment. The nursing process mirrors a lot of the critical thinking process. They are both processes developed to gather information, look ahead, plan, and evaluate processes. The sharper my skills are, the better care I will provide to my patient. Having problem solving skills is just one way in providing a high level of patient care. I also need to be knowledgeable of the body systems. Having the knowledge of what is normal in a body system will make it easier to pick up on the abnormal in my patients with common health care needs.
