Sadly, today our world is filled with an immense amount of crime. We live in a society where there is a constant fight between both ethics and morals…between good, and bad. Many times, I have been asked by my friends and co-workers what I want to do with my life and where I see myself in a few years. To be candid I don’t exactly know where I will end up; however, I would like to obtain a career under the umbrella of criminal justice. Although I haven’t seen the entire course load pertaining to my Criminal Justice class. I believe that I will be taking on projects dealing with statistics, in which I’m required to analyze locations that correlate with crime. I also believe a bit of my course load will be hands on, in which case I will be observing criminals, their offenses, and the way they were prosecuted for having done particular crimes. I have no doubt that I will have an enormous amount of projects that I will have to undergo. I will be required to complete research papers, procedural essays and essays of which I’m required to compare and contrast. As with all jobs, there are pros and cons of criminal justice degree when dealing with careers you may want to consider. No job is perfect; it’s all about finding a career that makes you feel like the good outweighs the bad. Upon meditating on this major I put together three pros and three cons I feel should be heavily considered in choosing if this major best first me and the direction I’d like to take my life.

Being that times have changed, a degree in criminal justice doesn’t carry the same power it once had, so pursuing a higher degree is a quintessential aspect in open doors for better career opportunities. Thankfully after achieving my degree in Criminal Justice I will have a mass array of career options to choose from, some of these options are joining the FBI, becoming a police officer, being a forensic science technician, parole officer, and even possibly an CIA agent
