Iphone screens have really progressed from the time they originally came out.
With new technological advancements they now use a screen made of thin, yet strong material called “Gorilla Glass”. When “compared to other brands of glass Corning’s Gorilla Glass is particularly: hard, thin, lightweight, and scratch resistant.”
According to Anne Marie Helmenstine, “The glass consists of a thin sheet of alkali-aluminosilicate.” The glass is then “strengthened using an ion-exchange process which forces large ions into the spaces between molecules on the glass surface.”
The process in which Gorilla Glass is made isn’t quite complex, according to their site it consists of getting high quality raw materials, melt it together to create high grade molten

Why should you choose tempered glass and not a plastic screen protector? Simple, because tempered glass actually protects a device from physical damage. The plastic screen protectors barely help against miner scratches, preventing scuffs at best. Plus the plastics static cling method for staying on the screen fails after awhile and dust or other debris can get between the two causing scuff marks, ummm…

Windshield can be easily pitted and cracked after being hit by debris and other hard objects. It is essential that a windshield is repaired quickly - regardless of their severity, because as you continue to use the car, inevitably they will grow in size, which can distract or obscure your vision. Leaving cracks too long can eventually destroy your windshield. Actions needed to deal with windshield damages depend on the size of the pit and crack. In general, if the damage is smaller than one inch in diameter, it usually can be repaired easily.…

P1 Structure; Ceramic – Glass-ceramic I have chosen glass-ceramic to write about, however, I have no knowledge on this so I will have to use quite a bit of referencing to get the information. Facts; Glass-ceramics have an amorphous phase and one or more crystalline phases and are produced by a feature called "controlled crystallization" in contrast to a spontaneous crystallization, which is usually not wanted in glass manufacturing. They don’t find it ideal to have "spontaneous crystallization" because they cannot have a perfectly formed shape and it is ideal for engineers to obtain the shape they want. It is usually said that ceramics have an amorphous property, which means that there is not visible shape.…

This is the temperature interval in which the heating of the substance passes from a solid glassy state into a softened glassy state (16). It is distinguished from a liquid due to mobility of molecules. Glasses are liquids that are frozen in time when their evaluation (experiment) is carried out. Irrespective of their thermodynamic instability, they can be stable from a kinetic point of view, but only as long as applicable in pharmaceuticals (17). Movement of molecules below the glass transition temperature is very limited, whereas amorphous materials are relatively stable below the glass transition temperature, while above it they are vulnerable to mechanical and thermal stresses.…
