A land is a very precious and expensive thing. Indigenous people now live in their land, but Nunavut we were told that only 16% of the land is in control of Indigenous Peoples, the other 84% of the land is in control of the government. I learned that the Indigenous Peoples never had many land rights and still don't have many land rights. Secondly, to address the needs of First Nations communities for lands, the government can take the land they have and turn it into something useful for the First Nations communities, such as community centres and more. Finally, the next episode of the 8th fire should be an important one because of its title “At the Crossroads.” A crossroad means a point where a choice must be made. I feel this episode will look at the difficult choices the first nation people might have had to make. Choices about their lives, choices which might change their lives.
