Centrioles are a cylinder shaped organelle; they are there to help to the cell when the cell is ready to divide. They put in the work through these two processes, mitosis and meiosis. Where you find these organelles at is near the nucleus. Centrioles are made up of microtubules. Centrioles are very particular on how they are set up. They have nine groups of microtubules. When you find 2 centrioles together, they are most likely at ninety degrees. When it is time for cell division they are found in groups of two and head for the poles of the nucleus.
Centrioles also have a relative named centrosomes. These are also found near the nucleus but only during cell division.
