Not many people recognize the severity of the California drought. nIn fact, some places in California have completely run out of water. For example, Tulare County in Central CAlifornia has 5,433 residents with no running water to their homes. Some have not had flowing water for over a year. Many have signed up for bottled water deliveries once a month. Also, most people use portable facilities to wash their dishes, use the restroom, and take a shower. Throughout the 5 years the drought has been around, there has been minimal rain each year and some of the smallest inches per year scientists in California have ever seen.
