Caffeine can help you keep energy throughout the day. There have been conflicts on whether energy drinks are good or bad for your body. “Initially it was believed to be of greatest benefit in endurance events (in marathon running and swimming).”(Forbes-Ewan, par.7) “Although it is not regulated as a drug, caffeine acts like one and has the effects of dependence, withdrawal, and health complications.”(Carpenter par.2)

However,Caffeine helps boost one’s performance in any type of sport/activity. “Caffeine does not cause dehydration and careful dosing should avoid any adverse effects.”(Forbes-Ewan) Most people say that caffeine is bad and could possibly kill you. In order to stay active and stay awake energy drinks can help with activities and exercising and etc. but if you drink more than one or two a day you may have some of these side effects as of nausea, headache, increased heart rate and cardiac arrhythmia.

Anyone even athletes can use caffeine to stay energised. “Caffeine, which can enhance athletic performance, can now be used freely even by elite athletes.”(Forbes-Ewan,7) adults and young adults can use caffeine for sports or activities and hardly get tired.
However, “During carb-loading periods before athletic competition, you need a high intake of carbs, though you don't want too much fiber, as this can cause gastrointestinal distress.”(samuels,5) So unlike many drinks energy drinks have different effects on
