At Big Lots they love to get you the lowest prices possible. Management goes out and finds products that didn’t sell at inflated prices at other stores. They are able to purchase them for a low price so they can sell that at an extremely inexpensive price. The distribution team wants to keep costs low as well. They focus on minimizing transportation costs. The sales also tend to vary based on season. Big Lots like to get keep seasonal products in stock during the correct times of the year. This helps keep customers stay in-season and participate during the holiday seasons. As for international operations, the company likes to remain focused on sales within the United States. Big Lots has stores in 47 locations so it makes it easier for U.S.
