Billionaire F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone can't seem to help himself from making controversial statements, and the prospect of women in F1 is his latest target. Bernie said that females aren't strong enough to be successful in a grand prix.

"I don't know whether a woman would physically be able to drive an F1 car quickly, and they wouldn't be taken seriously," Ecclestone said in London, The Daily Beast reports.

Wolff said that she had made some talks with F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone on Wednesday regarding his controversial statements made at the Advertising Week Europe conference in London.
Ecclestone's statements provoked a fierce backlash in the motorsport. Former ARCA Racing Series driver Leilani Munter has described the F1 CEO as"an embarrassment" and "just a sad, pathetic, sexist old man with pre-historic views of women".
Wolff told BBC World Service: "Like anybody else, when I heard the comments at first I thought 'wow, how could he have said that?' But when I looked into it, the comments are taken completely out of context.
"There was a much wider interview around the topic and actually his comments weren't as bad as they sounded.

I attended the Time Wise lecture on Tuesday, October 11th where Tim Wise spoke about racism and discrimination in America. Tim was a very uplifting speaker who talked about very raw subjects that many of us simply avoid. He spoke about racism, and how it is in-fact not a thing of the past. He talked about LGBTQ groups and other groups we look at as minorities. Tim talked about everything we talk about in Women’s studies but just to a heightened degree.…

These situations include but are not limited to some of the following: common color associations, movie genres, hobbies, vehicles, restrooms, hair or clothing styles, and most importantly professional sports. If uniformed women are able to stand next to men in combat, they should also be able to stand next to men in uniforms on the football field and play on any other sports teams without segregation. Stereotypes and gender norms have impacted the separation between men and women in all sports greatly. Pat Griffin comments that sex segregation in athletics and professional sports “does not reflect…
