Benjamin Montgomery, he invented a propeller that could cut the through the water. He invented the propeller so boats would go faster. Henry Boyd, he invented the corded bed with the wooden rail into both the head board and the foot board. And he bought his own freedom, also he started his own company it was called the Boyd bedstead.

Benjamin Bradly, he invented a steam engine. It was made of a gun barrel, a pewter and pieces of round steel and some nearby junk.

Ned, he invented the Cotton scrapper and his owner Oscar JB steward applied for the patent but he got rejected then they put out a law saying that you cannot order a patent for yourself or your slave. but the slave master decided to go past that and sell it to other slave masters
