Imagine that it is 1706 in a small house in Boston, Massachusetts crowded with one adult man, one grown woman and 14 children. That is what Benjamin Franklin was born into, as the 15th out of 17 children in the Franklin family. As a Massachusetts Bay Colony citizen, Benjamin Franklin was removed from school despite his success to work with his father at a candle and soap shop. When young Franklin didn’t take to this, his folks decided to have him help his older brother at a press store.
