The assessment tool I researched was the Behavior Assessment System for Children, Third Edition (BASC-3). I have you the BASC for students before. BASC-3 can be used with children ages 2 to 21 years old. There are three parts of the BASC-3, teacher, parent, and self. Using different perspectives id important to understand the child better (Pearson, 2015). Each part has a rating scale. The teacher rating scale contains 105-165 items to rate from “Never” to “Almost Always”. Parents rating scale contains 139-175 items. The self is done with students’ ages 8 to 21 years old (Pearson, 2015). The BASC-3 assesses children on his/her adaptive behaviors.
