Between these three religions, the book talks more about their agreements and beliefs within the religions instead of giving comparisons. Obviously the three big names that were mentioned time and time again were Mohammad, Jesus, and Moses. Islam comes from the same roots as the other two religions that I mentioned tracing it’s beginning back Allah. In Arabic, Al means “the” and llah mean “God” which tells you that Muslims believe in only one God. Basically, the concepts that Islam portrays are Allah, The Creation, Humanity, The Five Pillars of Islam, and the Day of Judgement. Islam is also the second largest religion in the world. Now, this is where things get a little controversial between the two religions. The followers of Islam believe that Jesus is a great prophet. Christians, on the other hand, believe that Jesus is god. Notice that both of these religions still have a focus of God, but the way that they picture him is much more different. Christianity is the largest and most widespread religion in the world. We were able to learn the relationship between all of them. The book makes it known that there is absolutely nothing there to gain by comparing all of these religions or which one is going to make it to the finish line before the other ones. One can claim that religions are there to satisfy the desire for everyone to be close together. I believe that religions offer a kind of vision for people that will realize that things may actually be better than they might seem. Now, you might ask how religion is related to psychology. Well, psychology is a science. Just like religion, it requires just as much faith to believe in it. I think what makes there be a relationship between psychology and religion is human endeavor. Psychology and religion are both human creations as well as activities. They affect how we view the world and what actions we will make, but this was the only comparison that I can make out of the two. Psychology uses scientific methods as much as possible to find information and prove facts. Religion, on the other hand, doesn’t do this.
