There are varieties of symptoms that occur when a person has astraphobia. Symptoms can range from fainting, sweating, shaking, extreme heart rate, nausea, vomiting, crying, gasping for air, freezing, or in some cases thoughts of death. Behaviors in individuals who have astraphobia is also varied from constantly watching the weather channel to ensure the weather is going to be fine, having a ton of lightning rods on an individual’s house, and barricading windows and doors during an event of an oncoming thunderstorm.
