What Is Aromatherapy?

It sounds a bit bizarre telling a person that their smell sense, or more precisely one particular scent can make them fill better (or worse!). Is this even possible? According to the aromatherapists, it sure is! Nowadays, we have a whole industry devoted to the production of a wide range of beautiful fragrances, but from ancient times aromas were considered to be powerful alternative medicine tools.
Scientist have proven that different fragrances have miscellaneous, but nonetheless powerful impact on our nervous system and our well or ill-being. For example, most of the chemical fragrances are toxic or unpleasant, and they leave some unnatural and lingering odours. On the other hand, the essential oils derived from the nature and its plants provide us with a wide range of natural scents that greatly overwhelm our senses, creating long-term health benefits.

They are extracted from the nature, usually cold- pressed from sweet-scented flowers, fruits, leaves or exotic plants. Hence, their use is not only safe, but also recommended.
