Annie Oakley was a woman sharpshooter who became a legend. She was a determined lady who believed she could do what she believed. Phoebe Ann Moses was born to Jacob and Susan Moses on August 13, 1860. She grew up in Darke County, Ohio in a cabin built by her father. When her father died, life was hard on her family with her mother earning little money per week. After a while, Annie was sent to the Darke County Infirmary to work.
