What Is Andrew Jackson Good Or Evil

Andrew Jackson, the Seventh President of the United States, has been one of the most celebrated yet debated presidents of all time. For the longest time, since the Jacksonian Era, he has been considered one of the greatest presidents of all time, but, is this really the case? It was the year 1767, March 15, in a small country settlement of the Waxhaws region, on the border of the Carolinas, when Andrew Jackson was born. Both states claimed him as a citizen, but Jackson, himself, claimed to be a citizen of South Carolina. Andrew Jackson grew up poor and the child of Irish immigrants, so he never had an education, and in 1780, when he was 13, Andrew Jackson joined the American militia to fight in the American Revolution. During this time, Andrew Jackson also decided to get an “education”. Andrew Jackson read books on law and educated himself. Soon, Andrew Jackson had become a lawyer and worked in Tennessee. In fact, Andrew Jackson could be compared as to worse than Adolf Hitler for completely killing off the last of a race (the Creek Indians). Andrew Jackson inspired the American people? Andrew Jackson simply mocked the U.S. constitution and all that it stood for in his selfish, foolish actions. Andrew Jackson did start the democratic party, expanded the U.S., and created an era (the “Jacksonian” Era) of national pride. However, Andrew Jackson robbed not only the U.S. but the world of many basic principles and inalienable rights of humanity: “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…”.
