Megan is an eight year old, second class student. She was diagnosed with dyslexia last week; therefore we are still waiting to receive her report. I have been working with Megan since she started in learning support two years ago. She received learning support as part of the early intervention program in senior infants and the whole way through first class. During this time she has shown great progress and an eagerness to achieve. However, she is still not achieving at the level of her peers in English. She now receives learning support for English as part of a group once per week for thirty minutes and individually three days per week for twenty five minutes.
