People who observed: All of us! We observed the first person in a cafeteria. It was a young Chinese girl, about 14 years old and she was sitting by herself, studying. She was wearing dark, blue T-shirt and sports black pants. Her face was without any make-up and her black hair were put in a bun. Her clothes and overall look were simple but neat. The girl looked skinny and we assume that she could be very good at sports. We are sure that she was sitting by herself for a long time before we started to watch her. It is obvious that she is very anxious and stressed about her homework that she was doing. She did not look up even once, being too busy studying. We think she has strict rules about

She weighs approximately 120 pounds and 5 foot, 8 inches tall. Based on this, she is sort of skinny but normal. I have assumed that she is purely a vegetarian. I also suspected that she came from India because she can speak in her native Punjabi language, and has a big, brown eyes with coffee, brown skin. She was wearing a black polo shirt with the logo of the restaurant, black pants, and black working shoes. She also had her long, black hair, tied back with hairnet and a cap on it. I believe that wearing an appropriate uniform is really important in a workplace, in order to keep hair from falling into food and other food products, and of course keeping the workplace clean. Besides, she has skills in rolling the burrito right and getting it done ahead of time. As well, she demonstrated an excellent customer service. She gave the customer a friendly, happy smile and got into interesting conversation with them, at some point. Furthermore, she used her time wisely in trying to get other tasks done, including taking out garbage, stacking necessary items (for example fountain drink cups, napkins, straws), cleaning kitchen utensils, sweeping and many others. I believe that she has a higher level of confidence and doing her job very well and professional. She is very hardworking, and have a good relationship with co-workers and customers. Despite of having optimistic feelings inside the …show more content…
They all wore gym uniforms, grey shirts and green short pants. That was during the time they had an “open gym” for the whole period. The girls are probably Canadians, but the boy is more likely a foreigner. In my opinion, the boy came from Iraq. He has black hair and a short mustache. His eyelids are deep. He showed the girls how to hold the basketball high with only one finger. The girls are impressed by what the guy did. He was proud and satisfied. It seemed that he might have low self-esteem and that is why he always wants to get everybody’s attention. He like to be in the center of it. He also talks loudly and makes a lot of gestures. Also, we found out that it would be a little hard to be an immigrant, like him, to fit in a new country. We think he is really very happy to make friends in this way. I know the boy's country is in war, especially the Muslim extremism that still exists. Once in the EAL class, we heard him tell another boy that one time, he almost lost his life. In fact, he has some stitches on his head. He is a simple boy but he has experienced a lot of things. We are sure that he is happy with life now even though he left his

In attempt to develop range in my observation of support groups, I once again found myself returning to an old stomping ground. Throughout my years in high school, I dedicated several hours a week to my local church in a growth group for high school girls. Although I currently experience mixed emotions with religion, I recalled how influential it was during my teenaged years to have such support, convincing me to return to observe a group to identify ways in why it was so helpful for me during difficult moments in my life. Luckily, my previous growth group leader was still leading groups and graciously accepted my request to be a guest that following week. Meeting once a week, the purpose of these groups was to discuss the Bible and life issues, but based on personal experience, these groups offered much more than a few life lectures.…

I recently attended a group observation at Project Point of Light in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. The overall experience was a positive one. It was very interesting to talk to the members and hear their sides of the story. They truly are just human beings and I believe that meeting with them and having an opportunity to talk to them has somewhat changed my view of sex offenders overall. Though I am still confused by their behaviors, which is somewhat difficult to overcome, but I am more understanding of who they are because they are only human and they know they have made a mistake.…

Along with these supports, I was extremely impressed by the way Mrs. Flinn handled classroom management. Even though I observed during a very exciting week, she had great control over her students.…
