What Is An Allegory In Lord Of The Flies

During war 2 he had been taught a very important lesson. He realized that man causes evil and compared it to how bees make honey. He said this to show how humans are always causing things good or bad. He wrote lord of the flies to try and show readers the savage side of human nature. The book also helped by giving him ideas about humans struggle with good and evil. The lord of the flies is an allegory for the world today. It represents the good and bad about our civilization today. It shows the choices of humanity and how it affects our choices in the long run. The boys are stuck on a island and they experience how to start a group, how to function properly, and how to survive. They also experience how to deal with chaos, how to experience fear, and how to go separate ways. This is not true. The boys do not as much free will as they think. They elected ralph as the leader and he put his personal input in. This resulted in the boys not expressing their feelings and slowing down what they wanted to do. This caused decisions to not reach the full capability of how it could impact the boys. Fight or flight isn't important to the boys. They are not animals and they make decisions according to their powers. Also the only animals they seem to encounter don't seem to express fight or flight and seem harmless; however, they did overkill the pig. If the boys did experience this to the max their personalities would be impacted also the story would have ended really differently. Therefore the boys do not experience free will and fight or flight rather they experience the will to survive and betrayal.
