One’s childhood can shape their life into a positive or negative direction. Recently, researchers started examining the ways one’s childhood influence their life into adulthood. Researchers started finding this pattern between individuals categorizing them as adverse childhood experiences. Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can have a correlation to one’s health and how they prosper in society. In this paper, I will examine my own score and recognize how it affected my daily life. I interviewed my father, Dale Harris; and found his high ACEs score affected his life contrasted to my own. Adverse childhood experiences are important to understand and improve one’s quality life.
