Abortion rough draft 2
Some believe abortion is morally wrong , while others say it is a human right “my body, my choice”. Should abortion be legal? Every woman should have the right to decide what happens to their bodies. A man should not be able to tell someone they have to have a kid. It is medically shown that within a certain time frame the fetus will not feel pain.
Many opponents to abortion believe it should be illegal. Women are being careless and irresponsible not taking the correct measures that are causing the fetus harm. There was an incident in Indiana in 2015, “a women named Purvi Patel was sentenced to 20 years in prison for what the prosecutor said was a late self-abortion.” This just goes to show that some women have no regard

The biological father is also apart of the baby and just because the mother does not want the child does not mean the father does not want the child.” A new Arkansas law will let a husband sue a doctor to stop his wife from getting a particular type of abortion. It makes no exception for cases of spousal rape.” It is not fair to the father that the mom gets to choose if his unborn child get to live or not. It should be a mutual decision.
If the husband of the women who is trying to get an abortion is not the biological father, he has no parental rights to stop the abortion. An article written by Criss Doug says “the husband has to be the father of the child. And because there’s no exemption in the law for rape and incest, a woman’s rapist could theoretically file suit to stop the abortion.” Now the father of the baby can also have a say in what happens to their child.
There is scientific evidence that abortion is often causing the fetus pain. Even at 20 weeks the fetus may still feel severe pain and more than fourteen thousand abortion occur each year. “Even using the conservative fetal pain date of 20 weeks, many abortions may cause horrific pain as well as death. If some pain is perceived at 17 weeks, then forty-two thousand abortion may be implicated annually, including hundreds, perhaps thousands of partial birth abortions.” Abortions are just not being performed in the right time

Since the fetus is able to feel pain, professionals have said that they should at least give them their own anaesthesia. “Report, issued in october 19997, startled the world by recommending that the evidence for fetal pain perception in the late second trimester was convincing enough that the doomed fetus should be sedated with its own specific anaesthesia during all abortions performed from twenty-four weeks onward.” If they are going to abort a baby they could at least do the human thing and no make the fetus go through so much

Americans ponder whether aborting a fetus is a moral action. I believe on the other hand that some people feel that abortion should be legal because woman has a right to choose whether she wants to continue a pregnancy or not; since it’s her body. Many believe that the fetuses have no advocates and deserve a right to live, so it is…

Amendments are made to restrict political power and to ensure that the natural rights of citizens are protected. The first amendment, along with the Bill of Rights, was adopted on December 15, 1971 and since then 26 more amendments have been added to our Constitution. The Fourteenth Amendment is one of the most known amendments and has been used in numerous court cases, such as Roe in 1973 when abortion became legal under the Fourteenth Amendment because the "Fourteenth Amendment's concept of personal liberty and restrictions upon state action" includes "a right of personal privacy, or a guarantee of certain areas or zones of privacy" and that "[t]his right of privacy . . . is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy”, but the courts have failed to produce a law that protects the rights of fathers in cases of abortions. One issue that many fathers face is that the mother of their child is not legally required to have their consent for an abortion.…

In fact a because a baby is just developing it’s brain when the abortion is happening the pain can cause even more pain that it would if it was happening to a full grown person. This is because the brain does not understand what exactly the sensation is, it know that it is painful but it does not know what part of the brain it appeals to so it ends in an overload of parts of the brain causing mass chaos and confusion. A study done on babies shows us that a light poke to a baby registers in the brain just as much as hard poke. Despite the pain felt by a 20 week old unborn baby some states still have no bans on 3rd trimester babies, where the baby can survive out of the womb. Abortion although a conservative topic I think that it is clear that if it must be done it must be done in the most humane way possible, and our current methods do not suffice especially past 20 weeks when they feel the full force of the abortion.…

There are other options other than aborting. Many, many people are looking to adopt a child and the rates of a child getting adopted has a newborn are greater than any other stage. So there shouldn 't be a reason for a person to kill their own kid. Because no matter how many arguments they make up like the “fetus is not a human” or is their body and therefore they are free to do has they please, I still think is wrong and anybody that thinks this way is wrong…

Dr.Phil said “If the the fetus is beyond 20 weeks gestation i would assume that there would be pain caused to the fetus.” This is one reason why most people don’t like abortions because it causes pain to the fetus. Also because the mother’s don’t care about the babies pain, they only care about getting the baby out of them. This shows why more and more people don’t agree with abortions and why it’s an issue now. Another reason why people don’t like abortions is because most say “Pain is detected by the fetus in the first trimester” (Procon.org).…

But now comes a difficult question, what is the interest or desires of a 20 week or older fetus? Based on basic human nature, not feeling pain seems to be in the interest of the fetus. But for the fetus to avoid pain does not necessarily imply that the fetus cannot be aborted any time after 20 weeks. The use of anesthetics has been ongoing for years and can be used on a fetus to prevent any feeling of pain during the abortion. Therefore, equal consideration of interests allows abortions of fetuses at all stages of pregnancy.…
