The American Psychological Association (APA) style writing was first founded in 1929 by some Scientist and Businessmen to provide some consistency in writing styles (Bethel University, 2014). APA style writing covers elements such as abbreviations, punctuation, and the most important for the students of Bethel University in-text citations and references.
Some of the disadvantages are that APA style writing can be confusing sometimes because of the in-text citations and references. If you do not properly know how to cite a reference it can become tough, and that is how plagiarism begins (Bethel University, 2014).
