Here we were at the end of the summer visiting the same holy place thrice. It was back then in 2011 that we planned for the visit. My mother is a devotee to god and follows the omen and luck charm strictly. I was fed up growing in religious boundary. Though our visiting was for the religious purpose, I felt the fun in it.
Journey started on the cold morning. We packed our bag for a week long journey. For a group of people, a car was reserved. Walking for a straight one day was long breathe taking process. We plan to stay until the rain stops and in a few minute thunderstorm started. Under the roof of a house near the temple among fifty people, the lighting hit only one person and the person was one of our men. He was a person whose wife has been pregnant for a couple of months. He hid it because he was passionate to visit along with us.
I had never been in any kind of situation where a man was near the death, and I was rubbing his feet and back with my hand. I could not hear any of the sounds. I could hear my heart beating. Though there were more than fifty people, the lightening hit the single person. We had to rub his hand, back, and legs to make him conscious.
At the moment of striking the lighting to the man, the fear and emphasis on family became real. The few minutes that accident occur has taught me a lot, rather than asking for my

“Worldviews shape not just our individual lives, but universities as well.” (Why College Matters To God, 20) I believe that the main way that we should live in the world is through listening to and being able to talk to people openly about differences in beliefs and social differences. If one strives to be conscious of and learn from other points of views and experiences, one can be enlightened and educated in things that they might have missed otherwise.…

My spiritual journey of faith has turned me into more of a “mutt” than a “purebred” Christian because of the variety of denominations and international churches that I have experienced so far in my life. However, a few years later my parents divorced and we ended up at a non-denomination church, where I spent the next 20 years.…

Although we cannot be as him, we should try to follow his guidance. In this world, it is easy to get wrapped in earthly things. We are humans, and many of times we fail by trying to hold a certain status, gain certain materialistic possessions, and cause great emotional/physical harm to one another. In my beliefs, that is not the way one should live.…
